From September 4th until mid-December 2024, extensive work will be carried out to improve Duindorp Schoorl. This project, initiated by the municipality of Bergen, includes new paving, planting, lighting, and garden furniture. Additionally, work will be done on the sewage system, the road surface will be replaced, and traffic safety on the Duinweg will be improved.
While we eagerly anticipate the final result, the upcoming months will unfortunately bring some traffic disruptions. Therefore, we would like to inform you about the accessibility of Restaurant Hotel Merlet during this period.
No motorized traffic on the Duinweg
It is important to know that no through traffic is possible on the Duinweg between Bergen and Schoorl. Traffic heading towards the center of Schoorl must detour via the N9.
Changes in Traffic Situations
To ensure traffic safety around the construction work and to alleviate the pressure of cut-through traffic, some traffic situations will be temporarily adjusted:
Parking
The parking area of Restaurant Merlet will remain accessible via Burgemeester Peecklaan. Additionally, you can parallel park along Duinweg and then walk to Restaurant Hotel Merlet.
